anyone can see the road that they walked on is paved in gold RYUUSUKE AKAHARI Ryu crept around the old warehouse as carefully as he could. The old building was hardly ever even glanced at anymore, which made it the perfect, sheltered place for Pokemon to make their nests. Thus, the perfect place to catch some unsuspecting Pokemon.
Getting lost in the thoughts of how great his plan was, he accidently stumbled over a pile of rocks and scared away a small family of Rattata. "Shit." The red-head said, watching the little rat Pokemon scurry off. "Woulda been easy too."
'Psh, I could take on bigger.'
The voice from his backpack was confident and full of pride. Ryu just rolled his eyes, "Yeah, right, for the last time we're not near the ocean, there's not even a puddle around here you dumbass. How're you supposed to do that, huh?"
'I'd find a way.'
Ryu shook his head and kept moving. He had a large sack with him, one he usually used when stealing from a house or something. Now he was using it to bag himself another Pokemon. Not that there was anything wrong with the fish Pokemon, currently residing in a small tank inside his backpack - but out of water, Hiro was pretty damn useless. So, he needed another Pokemon - and he had no Pokemon able to battle said Pokemon, bloody paradoxes. So, thus he had a sack.
Suddenly he spotted something over near one of the broken windows. It was a Mankey, lounging in the sun. He crept closer to it with his sack open and ready. Suddenly there was a small noise from outside and the Mankey jumped up and scurried away. "What the hell?!"
Ryu darted after the monkey Pokemon, but wasn't quick enough, and before he knew it it disappeared into the wild. "Every frickin time, damn it." Ryu said looking around to see if he could find out what made that noise - for once it hadn't been him.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Well that had been a long and tiring day at work, Felicity let out a small groan of satisfaction as she stretched her arms high into the air, grateful that the work day had finally ended. She enjoyed working at the mechanics shop she really did but today had pressed her nerves insanely, mostly to do with some bitchy, rude and unsatisfied customers which took all her willpower not to be rude or insult them, people can be such ungrateful moody assholes sometimes. Well at least she was out for the rest of the day and Felicity wondered what she should do while the sun still remained in the bright blue sky. Her emerald eyes focused on the high path under her feet, the teenager walking along the brick wall with Temujin trailing along down on the ground, there was no way he could get up on the wall, unless he wanted to shatter it under his insane weight.
“Woaah!” She spluttered out as she tripped over her own feet suddenly, her eyes widening in shock as she fell towards the concrete below her, the wind whipping her face and causing her green hair to brush against her cheek as gravity pulled her down. Thankfully she managed to land on her two feet though the impact caused her to fall onto her knees, the steel and rock type pokémon bounded over toward her with concern and frustration in his bright blue eyes.
“Stupid, I told you not to walk on that wall!”
Felicity could only grin in amusement at Temujin’s tone, though he sounded angry to her she could tell he was only worried for her safety, the idiot lump of metal acted like her body guard or her father of something. “I’m fine Temu, stop fretting.” She sighed, brushing off the dirt from her already oily jeans before starting to walk again like nothing had even happened. The Larion let out a sigh of annoyance and trailed after her, only having to stop a few minutes later considering Felicity had came to an abrupt halt right outside the old warehouse.
It appeared that just like his companion, Temujin got over his anger pretty quickly and he too stared rather intently at the old building which teens sometimes used as a party spot. Felicity however hadn’t been in the warehouse for a while, the last time was a few months ago but that was when there was a party going on. Her emerald eyes sparkled in adventure as she glanced down at Temujin, she didn’t need to know what he was thinking, they both had an adventurous streak so she just walked straight into the building without any hesitation with the Larion walking after her. She wondered if there was anything interesting in there, perhaps she could spot some cool or rare wild pokémon, that would be good!
CRASH CLANG! Felicity cringed slightly at the sudden sound that echoed around the large building, turning around to see that Temujin had just knocked over some large metal pole of sorts. Rolling her eyes Felicity turned her attention away from the steel and rock type pokémon as he started to greedily chomp on the metal pole as a snack, at the noise he was making she was sure all the wild pokémon would be scared away.

'What is it?' Hiro bubbled from his backpack impatiently. That particular method of travel was his least favorite because he couldn't see anything, but it wasn't like Ryu could wheel his bigger tank up here with all this debris. And while trying to catch Pokemon, Ryu wouldn't be able to keep track of the fish if he were to take the tank out of his bag. So Hiro just had to deal with hearing what was going on outside his little tank.
Ryu looked out over the landscape, trying to see if there was anything that could have made enough noise to scare the Mankey away, but didn't see anything. "I don't know, there's nothing out here." The red-head said slowly, before shrugging. Maybe it was another Pokemon or something, besides he could just keep looking around for another -
There was a sudden clash of metal and clanging-crunching sounds filled the warehouse. All at once, dozens of hiding Pokemon dashed out of their nests and quickly darted out of the warehouse windows and cracks, hoping to escape the noise. The red-haired teen startled as well, and the Feebas residing in his backpack was loudly cursing whoever made that noise. Ryu felt the exact same way.
He ran around the upper floor of the warehouse, making for the stairs, when he saw a flash of green through a huge hole in the floor. It was a girl, (a pretty one, Ryu's perverted side added), but Ryu was more concerned with the huge Larion currently chomping loudly at a pole of metal. "Hey, yo, babes!" The red-haired teen yelled down to her. "You tryin' to scare all the Pokemon out of here, or are you just stupid?"
'What? It's a chick? What's she look like?'
Ryu rolled his eyes a bit, considering Hiro's species was considered the 'ugliest Pokemon', he sure put a lot of stock in looks. Well, he guessed that showed a bit about him too. The red head jumped through the hole and landed on the first floor, a bit away from the girl. He looked her up and down, before deciding on: "She's... green. Like a Breloom." He said with a grin, imagining the girl as a Breloom. Yep, that's about right.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Felicity pouted in annoyance as a bunch of pokémon made a run for it upon hearing Temujin crunch his way through the metal pole, clearly he didn’t seemed to care if he was making a ton of noise. “Ever heard of closing your mouth when you eat?” Her tone was mostly humorous though she was slightly miffed that the wild creatures had ran away, they must all be pretty pathetic and weak if they bolted at the slight sound of a fellow pokémon having some lunch. Temujin only snorted at his companions comment, wisely deciding to concentrate on swallowing the last of the metal instead of getting into a bicker with Felicity.
Her attention was instantly pulled away from the Lairon as soon as she heard someone shout at her, her emerald eyes widened in slight surprise considering she hadn’t been expecting it before gazing up at where the noise had come from. She could only guess that the male had wanted to capture a pokémon considering he was kicking up a fuss about Temujin scaring away the wild creatures; there was no need to call her an idiot though. Her emerald orbs narrowed in slight annoyance, her hands on her hips as she stared defiantly at the boy on the upper level. “Don’t call me babes.” She huffed and instantly Temujin came stomping to her side, his glowing sky blue eyes glared up at the red-head and a growl escaped his jaw, he was never good with strangers, especially though who posed a threat towards Felicity.
“Only the weak and scared pokémon fled, if you were interested in capturing or training surely you would go for the brave ones that remained? You should be thanking me and Temu for driving out the ones that would be too easy for you to defeat.” That’s how she felt anyway, if she was going to have a battle she would want a challenge, not one which would be as easy as clicking her fingers. A small smirk appeared on her features for a moment before she decided to fold her arms against her chest, a spark of challenge appearing in her emerald eyes. “Unless you’re too weak to take on the remaining strong pokémon, so you were looking for the low levels to feel good about yourself?”
She did not like that comment about looking like a Breloom, yes she had green hair and the pokémon had a green appearance but she looked nothing like one! With a small scoff she scanned the tall redhead for a moment, trying to pick out something about his appearance that she could poke fun at unfortunately she couldn’t find one, it was a shame that a good looking guy like him was annoying as hell. “I could kick your ass like a Breloom too.” She muttered back, clearly stating about said Pokémon’s fighting type and that the redhead before her was probably weak.

Ryu glared down at the Larion who was currently glaring at him. The Pokemon was much bigger than he was, as well as heavier, harder, stronger, and overall more dangerous that the nineteen year old - but Ryu was never one for making bright decisions. His gaze traveled back to the green-haired girl in front of him. "Well I'd thought up a lot more: cabbagehead-chick, green-girl, moss-top, curtain-head... list goes on. Honestly, you're great on my imagination, but you can't beat out the classics, babes."
When she started going on about what type of Pokemon he was going after, and saying he was weak, Ryu steamed up a bit. Yeah, he was going after a weak one, but that wasn't from lack of daring. He got really irritated when people assumed he was some kind of weakling. He wasn't weak, and Hiro could have evolved many times over if he'd been a Magicarp or some other Pokemon who evolved by leveling up. "It's not much of your business what type of Pokemon I mean to catch, now is it? I have my own reasons, mossy."
The boy couldn't help but chuckle at what looked like an attempt at a comeback, especially when it looked like she had no material for it. Ryu just shrugged it off and grinned, "You forgot you also emit them toxic spores like a Breloom, in't that right babes?" Ryu could hear his companion laughing from within his bag. Ryu took that as a sign that he was amusing his partner, which was some good news today. Looking around to see if there was any more nests of small Pokemon, he found them all evacuated. The red-head sighed in irritation, before turning back to the girl with a particular look. "So you gonna take some responsibility for this, babes?"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Well aren’t you talented in making up names.” She hissed out in bitter sarcasm, clearly she did not appreciate being made fun of because of the colour of her hair. So what if she had green hair she liked the shade of emerald that her hair was, it wasn’t as bad as being a boy with pink hair anyway! Feeling Temujin shift beside her she silently placed a hand on his cool steel head, the pokémon stopped in his tracks upon her touch as if to tell him to calm down. Despite the redhead being annoying she’d rather not have Temujin hurt him, she didn’t want police knocking on her door for being responsible for an attacking an innocent guy. The steel and rock type clearly wasn’t impressed that the boy was being rude to Felicity, after all it was his fault the noise had scared the pokémon away, not hers and even though Felicity had stopped him from charging at the boy he still kept his ice cold glare on him, watching him carefully.
She wisely ignored him calling her mossy at the end of his speech, a small smirk on her features because of his words. Apparently it wasn’t her business what type of pokémon he was going after, to her that literally screamed that he was going for a weak pokémon for an easy win but didn’t want to admit it to her. She didn’t respond but she felt a small wave of triumph that she had caught him out, his pokémon must be pretty weak if he was only capable of fighting a tiny Rattata, speaking of which she couldn’t see his companion pokémon anywhere. Her emerald eyes glanced around the large warehouse, trying to catch sight of the redhead’s companion however nothing appeared; perhaps it was hiding or something? She wondered what his companion was, probably a Grumpig to match his less than charming personality, like a pig.
“Oh yes I do spray toxic spores you’re so right! Then again, when are you ever wrong about people you’ve just met?” Her tone sounded light and cheerful as she agreed with him, though of course there was a thick lace of sarcasm within her voice. Seriously, she didn’t look anything like a Breloom! She probably could kick his ass though if she wanted to, he didn’t seem that strong, especially considering he was in here searching for low levelled pokémon, it literally screamed ‘I’m weak’. Felicity let out a similar sigh of frustration and irritation along with the redhead, running her fingers through her thick green hair before glancing down at Temujin, she wasn’t going to let him take all the blame considering it was her fault they had entered the building in the first place. “What do you expect me to do about it? Run after them and drag them back here just so you can attempt to fight and capture them? It’s not my fault they were startled by a bit of noise.”
Her emerald eyes glanced around the ground floor they were on, it seemed that the wild creatures that had been previous hiding here and scampered away because of herself and Temujin but what about upstairs? After all it wasn’t like they could see through the ceiling and walls, there could very well be some wild pokémon still lurking up there. “Besides there may still be some pokémon around.” Yes, perhaps he could bugger off upstairs and stop bugging her with his ‘mossy’ comments.

"Glad you noticed, but that's just one of my many talents, babes. Much more were that came from." Ryu said smirking a bit. He could tell he was getting on her nerves with his comments. It wasn't anything unusual, even on a good day he wasn't very nice, and today had definitely not been a good day. After finally finding a Pokemon that was weak/distracted enough to catch without battling, this girl came along with her Larion scaring it away. Nope, he wasn't cutting her any breaks.
Hiro had been quiet so far, listening to the interaction. He couldn't see anything from his current position, but that didn't mean he wasn't ready to take on any Pokemon the girl might have. Ryu, on the other hand, was completely against that (which, surprisingly, made him a bit smarter than the fish), since it was very unlikely that Hiro could win any battle above water - not to mention one against a huge steel type like Larion. So Ryu chose to ignore his squirminess for a while longer and continue pestering the girl. He knew his lack of a companion bothered her, it bothered everybody since companion Pokemon were always with their humans. During a con involving Hiro, he would just make up a story saying how his companion died - but he never did that when Hiro was available. And the reason for that, being, Ryu wasn't ashamed of Hiro - not that anybody else knew it (the morons) but Hiro was the best Pokemon in the world.
"Ooh, Stun Spore, huh? Well, hate to break it to ya, hun, but that move's not very effective." He said smoothly when she sarcastically shot back at him that he must be right about every person he'd just met. He couldn't help but grin at that, the more she talked the more she did seem like a Breloom, so Breloom-girl it was. "And, no, I don't want you and your Chomp-omp to go chasing down those Pokemon, no. But, since you both lost me the Pokemon I was going to catch, and now have decided to, on top of everything, insult my way in catching Pokemon - then obviously the only way for you to make amends is to help me find, and catch, a Pokemon that lives up to your all-so-perfect standards."
It was a different kind of con than he was used to, a tad bit more subtle, but he was sure he could make it work. If the girl helped him get a Pokemon, then he could catch a much better one than he would have got just stuffing one in his sack. Now he just had to get the girl to agree to it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Well you can keep those special talents to yourself because I’d rather not know about them.” Her tone was pretty blunt but it couldn’t be helped, the way he had said it made her believe he had been hinting to something sexual when he mentioned he had lots of talents. Personally, she didn’t care or want to know if this redhead was a self-claimed ace in bed, not after he had insulted her anyway with calling her names because of her hair. This little adventure certainly wasn’t going as well as she had hoped, she had imagined wondering around the building with Temujin and finding something awesome amongst the old crates and things left behind, instead she found an irritating redhead who seemed to be here for the sole purpose of annoying her. Then again she had annoyed him but it wasn’t like she and Temujin had scared away the wild pokémon on the ground floor on purpose, it was a complete accident.
Her emerald eyes widened ever so slightly at the sound of the teens request, apparently he thought she should help him capture a pokémon because of the racket Temujin had created earlier and because she had apparently insulted him. A frustrated sigh escaped her lips as she glanced down at her loyal companion, she didn’t see any problem with helping him capture anything considering Temujin had scared away most of the wild creatures away but if that was the case he should do something for her, considering he had been insulting her appearance from the start of their meeting. “I never said my standards were perfect, it was just an opinion.” She muttered sourly, allowing herself to slowly calm down from her previous anger, she didn’t really want to remain moody even though she had suffered a crap day at work and now she had a pesky redhead wanting a favour, she wanted to enjoy the rest of the day that remained, not stay in this foul mood. “Fine, I hope you have some Pokéballs or something to capture a pokémon in because I don’t have anything like that.” Felicity warned him as she walked past him towards the large metal stairs in the corner of the room leading upstairs, Temujin trailing after her and sending an ice cold glare at the guy along with a warning growl. After all she wasn’t a trainer or anything like that; she only had Temujin though sometimes she did think about capturing one more pokémon at times.
She didn’t bother to check if the redhead was following along behind her, after all if he wanted her help in catching a pokémon then he wouldn’t wonder off in the other direction. Thankfully the interior of the warehouse wasn’t as shabby as the outside and the stairs seemed to be pretty safe and secure, strong enough to withstand Temujin’s weight. Felicity hoped that the upstairs floor would be safe as well; she didn’t want herself and her companion to fall through the floor as soon as the hefty steel and rock type stood onto the surface. “You better be planning on repaying me in some way considering you’ve been insulting me as well.” Reaching the top of the metal staircase with Temujin went smoothly, she was just a little bit worried about the floors of the upper levels, there had been a hole or two after all in the flooring. Taking a silent and deep breath in she pushed away traces of her anger and worry and instead remained calm as she took a few steps out onto the wooden floorboards, Temujin slowly placing a large foot down, earning a creak from the floorboards in the process as he carefully walked after Felicity.

Ryu shrugged at the girl's blunt attitude. Wasn't she being a bit touchy? He hadn't said anything real bad yet. He ran his fingers through his hair, remembering that he hadn't brought along his head-band today. With his head-band on his hair stuck up and stayed mostly out of his way, but without it he had quite a few long bangs and his hair fell in spikes to just below his ears. It was annoying, and he tended to push it back out of his way a lot, especially when he was feeling a bit frustrated. He fully expected to have to really fight this girl on helping him get a Pokemon, so naturally when she just accepted it it caught him a bit off guard.
"Really, babes?" Ryu blinked a few times, letting his hand drop from his head. She was already walking up the stairs with her Larion following along behind her. He moved to the base of the stairs and watched her go up, not really trusting the steps to hold all of them. He wasn't sure the top floor could hold all of them. "Yeah, I've got a Pokeball - a as in one, though, so if I use it it's gotta be a guaranteed catch. Wasn't really expecting to have to throw one."
He ran up the stairs after they reached the top and hopped up onto the second floor landing. He laughed a bit when she said she wanted to be repaid in some way. "You want hurt-feelings comp?" Ryu said with a grin, "Sure, babes, sure. If you find me a good Pokemon, I've got not problems. What do you have in mind, hm? What will I owe you to make up for all the trauma I caused?"
Ryu looked around the room, there were a few cracks and holes in the flooring, but the floor had a steel frame, so as long as they kept to the center it should be able to hold them all. The floor had a bit of clear space, but the rest of the area was taken up by large, dusty crates, lined up to make three distinct isles. He knew there were probably quite a few stronger Pokemon who made nest in the cracked crates (it was the best place, so the strongest would be the ones who got it), but he'd avoided it because he knew he couldn't take on a stronger Pokemon on his own. Now though, that was the only place left to check.
"So, babes," Ryu began, turning to look at the green-haired girl. "Now that we're getting all friendly, what's your name?" The red-head knew he had pretty terrible manners, but etiquette was never his forte. He was after all, a thief and a con man (a lower-class one at that), so having good manners never really mattered to him. Plus, riling people up was one of his favorite hobbies, and though the green-girl obviously wasn't an aristocrat, and so didn't merit his more abrasive behavior, she was still very fun to tease.
